Founded 32 years ago to honor the beloved local fiddler and square dance caller Hilt Kelly of Fleischmans, NY, this festival gathers musicians and music-lovers of all ages in a joyful celebration of tradition. Each year we present three fiddle focused ensembles of varying fiddle traditions and offer delicious food, drink followed by a lively community jam session.

This year’s spectacular line-up includes: Richie and Rosie, Harry Bolick: The MIssissippi Fiddler, and Five Cent Fireballs.

All programs offered by the Roxbury Arts Group are supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the NYS Legislature, the A. Lindsay and Olive B. O’Connor Foundation, the Robinson Broadhurst Foundation, The Community Foundation for South Central New York, the Tianaderrah Foundation, The Delaware National Bank of Delhi, and individual supporters.

Modern Folk/Alt-Bluegrass

The Cape Ann Guitar Society proudly presents Five Cent Fireballs, and all female alt-bluegrass group, at the Manship Artists Residency. Based out of Charlottesville, VA, the Fireballs are coming up to Cape Ann for a week of composing and rehearsing material for their debut album. Come hear this new material and more at their concert in the Manship barn studio in Lanesville, Gloucester, MA.

Come sing and learn with the Five Cent Direballs. Warmups, techniques, harmony, and joyful singing. All levels encouraged to sign up. Location shared after registration.

Bring your banjo, mando, guitar or fiddle and learn tips, tricks, and tunes from the Five Cent Fireballs. All levels of players are encouraged to register. Location details shared after registration.

Five Cent Fireballs will be Artists-In-Residence at Manship Artists Residency in Cape Ann, MA. During this time, they will be completing the compositions and arrangements of their forthcoming EP.
